Questions owners ask us
Do replies post automatically?
Not unless you turn it on. By default every reply waits for your approval. You can choose to let simple thank-yous to 4 and 5 star reviews post on their own. Replies to 1 to 3 star reviews, and to anything sensitive or possibly fake, always wait for you.
Will the replies sound like AI?
They shouldn’t. Drafts are short, mention what the customer actually said, and follow the tone you set. You can edit any draft before it goes out.
What do I need to get started?
A Google Business Profile you own or manage, and the Google account you use for it.
Can Thanksmith remove fake reviews?
Only Google can remove a review. Thanksmith spots reviews that look fake, tells you which Google policy they likely break, and walks you through reporting them, then tracks what happens.
How much does it cost?
$29 per location a month, or $24 a month billed yearly ($288 a year). Everything is included.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Your 14-day free trial starts when you pick your first location. To keep going, subscribe in Settings; nothing is charged until you do. Subscribe before the last two days and you still get all 14 free days.
What happens when the trial ends?
If you haven’t subscribed, Thanksmith pauses: nothing new is drafted or posted. Your reviews, replies and settings are kept for 90 days. Subscribe any time in those 90 days to pick up where you left off, including reviews that came in while you were paused.
Can I cancel or delete my data?
Cancel any time in Settings → Manage billing. To delete everything, send us a message from the Contact page and we delete it within 30 days, except records the law says we must keep.
